Hiii, it's me, Asel (w 1 s pls) or Asya! Now I'm 17 years old and I'm studying Computer Science at Krakow
University of Economics!! I was actually born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and attended Gymnasium #25, a
French-language school (though I barely know any French, haha, 11 years wasted). Most of my extracurricular
activities were spent at a supplementary music school, which was a traumatic experience for me. At the same
time, from the age of 10, my friend and I tried to draw, even keeping separate notebooks for it, but it turned
out as well as a 10-year-old girl should. I had no connection with programming until I was 13. That was in 8th
grade (2022), after the COVID-19 lockdown. We were taking computer science for the first time, and as it
turned out, I had fewer problems with logic than the others. The only programming language we studied was
Python. It's simple, and I completed assignments much faster than the others. The teachers noticed this and
praised me, which gave me tremendous motivation to participate in competitions throughout the rest of my
school years. If it weren't for my teachers, I don't know where I'd be now. I was, I think, average in other
subjects (even though I was almost an excellent student), and programming was my only path (which I'm very
glad about). So far, I haven't regretted choosing this field for a moment!!!
